Callie - sitting up

Callie can finally get to the sitting position from any other position. :) She's been so close for weeks, but never could quite get there.

She sat up by herself for the first time on Christmas Day. :) (She's been sitting up since she was 6 months old, but now she can get herself in the sitting position from laying down).

Callie had an OT appointment today. The therapist was pleased with her progress. She said Callie's shoulder muscles are still a little tight and her hip/thigh muscles could be a little stronger. She gave us some exercises to do at home. She actually discouraged the cruising at this point - she wants Callie to crawl so her hip/leg muscles can improve. Yeah - tell that to Callie! HA! She LOVES to stand up and pulls herself up on anything she can get her hands on.

Emma loves to stand, too, but she doesn't pull herself up as much as Callie does. Emma gets about half way up and decides she needs help. :) However, Emma seems to be much more mobile than Callie - Emma attempts to crawl (she actually looks like an inchworm).
