Updates!
Emma had her ABR hearing test today...boy, did that thing take a long time! We started a little after 9:00 and did not finish until a little after noon!
I had to hold her the whole time - luckily, they gave me a nice comfy chair to sit in. :) Emma was lightly sedated and slept pretty much the whole time. She did wake up towards the end, but her bottle satisfied her (she hadn't eaten since 11:00 the night before!).
She does have some mild hearing loss due to the middle ear not functioning properly. However, after all of her surgeries, that should fix that. They did a test that bypassed the middle ear and her hearing was just fine - thank goodness! So, the mild hearing loss should be temporary.
The doctor was out of town, so as soon as he's back and reviews Emma's tests, he'll let us know if there's anything he wants to do. It is possible that she'll have to wear hearing aids until all is better.
We were told that when we talk to her, to make sure we're pretty close to her and face on - speaking a little louder than normal. That's not a problem in our case, because Phil and I both have loud voices. :)
Callie & Emma also had their hip x-rays today. Callie's was fine, but they wanted to do an ultrasound on Emma's right hip - it looked funny in the x-ray. We went right in to the u/s and it took less than 5 minutes and everything was fine! YAY!!
All in all, we got very good news today. :)

I am so glad the hearing loss is something "fixable".
