Callie's Surgery

Callie had her tonsils and adenoids taken out today. She has done a great job all day.

They gave her "happy juice" (like valium) about 30 minutes before her surgery. You could tell when it kicked in...she just looked at Phil and said, "Daddy, you have 2 faces and lots of teeth!". I guess that was some good stuff!

Callie's friend from daycare was in the bed right next to her having tubes put in and adenoids taken out, too. They've both had several bouts of strep - guess they kept giving it to each other, huh? Hopefully, both will do well after this surgery.

Callie has been very hungry today! It's been hard finding enough for her to eat - considering she wasn't suppose to eat much of anything! She's had cups and cups of apple juice, sprite, slushie, popsicle, applesauce, jello, can of soup and scrambled eggs...and she's still hungry!

She's still in some pain, but it's manageable w/ the medication. Hopefully, she'll do well tomorrow.

Josh got his 1st report card yesterday...he had all A's and 1 B (Language/Writing). We are very proud of him!!! We were kind of surprised at these grades, because at the mid-term, he had 4 B's and 1 A...he turned that around quite nicely (still can't complain w/ the B's)!

Emma came home from daycare sad today because she forgot a present for Callie. She loves taking care of her sister. I told her to bring it home tomorrow and she could surprise Callie tomorrow night. :)
