Happy Easter (a week late)
We went to Kingsport for Easter weekend this year. Phil's entire family was there (all 20 of us).
The kids all had a great time! The girls were happy to be around everyone while Josh was happier where it was quieter (watching tv, reading, or working in his activity books).
We all went out to eat Saturday night at Raphael's. It was really good. We got everyone home and finally into bed at 9:00. All 3 kids went down easily.
Sunday morning was just fine - got up and got ready for church.
We were right in the middle of church when Emma all of a sudden threw up...no warning, no nothing. To make a long story short, our family went back to my inlaws to get Emma cleaned up and changed.
She threw up 1 more time. We went on to Bill & Eileen's for lunch. Emma was up playing around - no problems. She didn't eat anything, but did drink some tea.
When I got her buckled into the van, she threw up again. So, we had to get her out, clean the carseat, change her clothes, etc.
We finally got back home. She threw up again around 10:30 and again at 11:00.
Monday was the worst. She threw up (mostly dry heaves by now) about every 30 minutes. We took her to the doctor...confirmed she had a stomach bug. The dr prescribed her some Zofran which worked wonders.
All Monday afternoon, Emma wanted to drink. She drank quite a bit of Pedialyte. She ate a little bit of supper. By Tuesday, she was feeling much better - still a little weak, though.
She came very close to being admitted to Children's for dehydration. We were very lucky she got amazingly thirsty when we got home.
She's almost back to normal now (bm's are still a little loose). She's at daycare today - so far, no calls. :)
Overall, we had a great weekend.
