Parent/Teacher Conference

I had my last P/T Conference today.

Josh's teacher is WONDERFUL!! I've loved her from day 1.

At the beginning of the year, Josh would barely participate in any kind of assessment test...too shy.

He did better in the middle of the year...the end of the year was fantastic!! :)

At one point, his teacher said she was going to suggest a transition class before going to 1st grade. She said that she's completely changed up her mind. She said Josh has his kindergarten skills mastered...no problem!!

She said there was nothing we needed to work on with him...just keep him reading and writing, so he doesn't lose those skills before school starts next year.

I am so proud of him!! :) I always knew he was smart, but not always comfortable with letting you know how smart he was. He does a great job in class...actually answers questions, works well, etc.

She said he always finishes his work on time and when he finishes early, he always occupies his free time appropriately. In other words, he doesn't get up and wander around the classroom. He'll get a puzzle, a book, whatever floats his boat at the time.

She said he's very well behaved and any teacher would be proud to have him!! She expects him to do very well in 1st grade next year. :)

Way to go, Josh!!!
